POW/MIA Riders Association is dedicated to the purpose of returning American service personnel from foreign counties. That includes any than may have been Prisoners of War, Missing in Action, or Killed in Action with unrecovered remains. The Rochester MN Chapter is especially active in its support of the above mission and in supporting all of our Veterans in any manner needed.
Military Order of the Purple Heart Lloyd Swenson Chapter 7110 is a small group of Purple Heart Medal Recipients based out of Rochester MN. Raising awareness of wounded soldiers and veterans is but a part of our mission. The Purple Heart is the oldest military award given. It was started by George Washington during the Revolutionary War to recognize soldiers wounded in action. We work to bring the designation of Purple Heart community to all of the cities and towns in Southeast MN. We award scholarships to graduating High School students that have relatives awarded a Purple Heart. Recognizing and aiding all veterans in our area is another of our goals.
